It is possible for existing tenants to request a transfer to another CCHA property. To be eligible for a transfer you must meet certain requirements and have approval from the Neighbourhood services manager to be accepted onto the waiting list. It is also dependent on availability of homes within your chosen area.
Step 1: Please download our Transfer and Mutual Exchange Policy to assess whether you are eligible.
Step 2: If eligible, download a Transfer Application Form and return to our Neighbourhood Services Team.
Eligible applications are pointed based on their urgency and need for re-housing. Please be aware that you will not be offered a transfer if you are in rent arrears.
CCHA are joined to several mutual exchange services: HomeSwapper, House Exchange & MoveMaker. This allows CCHA residents to sign up online to an interactive platform, which helps them to find residents within other housing associations or council properties to exchange tenancies with.

Once you find a suitable swap partner, please fill in and return our Mutual Exchange Application Form and mark it for the attention of the Neighbourhood Services Team.
