Day to day repairs
We have partnering arrangements in place with Axis Europe to carry our day to day repairs on our behalf, and PH Jones for repairs and servicing of gas appliances.
To report a repair to your property or the communal areas which do NOT involve gas then please telephone Axis directly on 08000567068 (freephone). If the repair is in your home Axis can offer a maintenance appointment timeslot for you as the job is booked in. If you would rather email Axis directly, you can email your repair to cchamailbox@axiseurope.com
For boiler breakdowns or other gas repairs, phone PH Jones on 0800 023 4062. If you can smell gas or suspect a gas leak, you should immediately phone Transco on 0800 111 999. Open windows and doors to disperse any gas; don't operate any electrical switches (in case it creates a spark) and turn the gas supply off at the meter.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that if PH Jones or CCHA contact you to arrange an appointment to carry out your gas servicing that you respond to this. Failure to respond could result in CCHA taking court action to gain access and you would then be liable for the court costs.
We offer an out of hours service for emergencies. Phone the numbers above and you will be transferred to the out of hours service. Please note that this service is for emergencies only and will normally only involve making the problem safe until the following day. We may recharge the cost of attending a call out of hours if the service has been abused.
Caretaker Service
CCHA now employ a caretaker who visits all of the estates at least once a month. If you have noticed works which need to be done or have comments about the service please speak to the Caretaker when he is on site or contact either CCHA or Axis directly on the numbers provided above.
Planned and Cyclical Maintenance Programme
CCHA are committed to having a cyclical maintenance programme which means that every six years your communal areas will be inspected and where necessary we will carry out redecoration and repairs as required.
Following on from our stock condition survey undertaken in 2004, Our planned maintenance programmes and Decent homes programmes set out to address properties which have been identified as needing improvement works. This is not based purely on age but also condition and suitability.
