Need to Transfer?

If you are a CCHA tenant and you would like to move within or out of our stock you can:-

• Apply for a transfer to another property
• Carry out a mutual exchange with another RSL or Council Tenant

Transfer

If you have a secure or an assured tenancy you can apply for a transfer within CCHA's stock. Please download our Transfer and Exchange Policy to assess whether you are eligible. If you are then please download an Application Form to be sent to our customer Services Department. we aim to have your application processed and a letter detailing your points and position sent to you within 30 days of receipt of your application form. It is important to provide supporting documentary evidence of your reasons for requesting a transfer as failure to do this will cause a delay in assessment.

We are only able to make transfer offers to a few residents every year. these are based on urgency and need.

We have general needs properties in the following areas (figures indicate number of properties):-

The more properties there are in an area the greater the chance of a transfer becoming available. The more areas you choose will increase the likelihood of receiving an offer.

You may be allowed to join the Local Authority transfer waiting list in the Borough in which you live.

In the case of an emergency you can talk to a member of staff about a management transfer to the Council.
